Be part of the temporary museum of contemporary wall paintings Cologne and join our residency in June 2026. To apply you must be from Italy, Spain or France and available in June.
THE PROJECT
On June 20, 2026, we will open the Temporary Museum of Contemporary Wall Painting Cologne (TEMPO___K) at Deutzer Hafen, an old harbour area soon to be a new neighbourhood in Cologne. In a collaboration between Deutzer Hafen, Artist & Residency Space Quartier am Hafen, and curator and artist Marcel Kreuzer, contemporary wall paintings by various local and international artists will be created on-site on the walls of the 2,000-square-meter industrial hall complex. Over the summer, the museum will serve as a venue for art education, cultural programming, and community engagement. Until the hall’s demolition begins with the closing event in October, TEMPO___K will be accessible to Cologne residents as a social and cultural hub.

In March 2027, fragments from the artworks will be showcased at the Gallery of Stiftung Schmidt Drenhaus Cologne and an artbook about the resulting works will be published.
