In her multimedia installations and scenographies the media artist Sanaz Starcic (*1987, Darmstadt) creates surrealistic spaces, that are drawn out of moments of life and elements of nature. Sculptural fusions of different soils and moonlike salt island are shaped, known streets turned into surrealistic audio-visual landscapes. Through this practice Starcic creates new spaces which can be sensually experienced by the viewer. She emerges in interdisciplinary contexts between fine arts, dance/theater and film.
Sanaz Starcic also works in collaboration and collectives, amongst others with her husband Eduard Starcic and is part of the artist collective Artistladieslovelove. She designs video projections, lastly for the dance collective .dencuentro. She is an associate of Conmidea, a society that is engaged to practice the visibility of art from the midea region.
