{"id":9623,"date":"2025-10-16T14:02:09","date_gmt":"2025-10-16T12:02:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/qah.koeln\/seyir-quartier-literary-residency-episode-2-fellow-luisa-ringel\/"},"modified":"2025-12-13T12:19:14","modified_gmt":"2025-12-13T11:19:14","slug":"seyir-quartier-literary-residency-episode-2-fellow-luisa-ringel","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/qah.koeln\/en\/seyir-quartier-literary-residency-episode-2-fellow-luisa-ringel\/","title":{"rendered":"Seyir Quartier Literary Residency \u2013 Episode 2: Fellow Luisa Ringel"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>We are pleased to announce that <strong>Luisa Ringel<\/strong> has been selected as the fellow for the second episode of the <strong>Seyir Quartier<\/strong> project.<\/p>\n\n<p>With the residency in Istanbul, Ringel will continue her artistic and theoretical exploration of the practice of <em>reparative reading<\/em> \u2013 a reading developed by Eve Kosofsky Sedgwick that focuses on care, community and solidarity-based visions of the future. Under the working title <strong>&#8220;Stories of Frailty and Strength: A Reparative Dialogue&#8221;<\/strong>, she is planning a multi-part series of events that will make <em>reparative reading<\/em> a tangible experience as a literary and social practice for cultural exchange.<\/p>\n\n<p>In cooperation with the author <strong>Zelal Dicle Baz<\/strong>, the fellow of the first episode of Seyir Quartier, Ringel will initiate literary dialogues that build bridges between Istanbul and Cologne, between languages, identities and artistic positions.<\/p>\n\n<p>The <strong>jury<\/strong> justified its decision as follows:<\/p>\n\n<p>&#8220;Luisa Ringel impresses with a concept that establishes <em>reparative reading<\/em> as a practice for cultural exchange. Despite socio-cultural breaks, an experiential space is created that aims at solidarity and shared visions of the future. Ringel&#8217;s well-founded theoretical expertise, experience in literary mediation and well-thought-out networking promise a lasting impact beyond the residency.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n<p>Luisa Ringel works in Cologne as an <strong>event organizer and curator<\/strong> with a focus on literature and cultural festivals. Among other things, she was part of the program management of <strong>lit.COLOGNE POP<\/strong> and the <strong>B\u0130RL\u0130KTE-Kulturfest 2024<\/strong> commemorating the racially motivated nail bomb attack in Cologne&#8217;s Keupstra\u00dfe. Her commitment is to strengthening literary spaces in which remembrance, care and artistic exchange open up new social perspectives.<\/p>\n\n<p>With her stay in Istanbul, <em>Seyir Quartier \u2013 Episode 2<\/em> builds on the thematic lines established by <strong>Zelal Dicle Baz<\/strong> and at the same time opens up new spaces for a joint, reparative narrative practice between Cologne and Istanbul.<\/p>\n\n<p>The project is supported by the RheinEnergie Stiftung Kultur, the Cultural Office of the City of Cologne and the Kunstsalon Stiftung. <\/p>\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We are pleased to announce that Luisa Ringel has been selected as the fellow for the second episode of the Seyir Quartier project.
