Kim Gorol<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n

Woman Eden<\/em><\/strong>: The “Woman Eden” project deals with the question of the existence, acceptance and appreciation of different forms of femininity within the art and culture landscape and the theater world. It examines the extent to which feminine movements and expressions are seriously perceived, respected and integrated into artistic discourses, especially in institutions that are often characterized by patriarchal structures and masculine aesthetics.The piece questions whether feminine expression in these contexts is considered artistically valid or subtly devalued; be it through its association with softness, emotionality or intuition. Femininity is not understood as a rigid, biologically determined concept, but as a fluid spectrum of movement qualities, attitudes and energies. <\/p>\n\n

Kim Gorol is a dancer and performer in Cologne, studied contemporary dance in Bielefeld at the Dansart Akademie and at the Peridance Capezio Center in New York and danced in pieces by Marje Hirvonen, DIN A 13 tanzcompany and Sa\u00efdo Lehlouh, among others.<\/p>\n\n

Salome Kehlenbach<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n

Practises of democratic resistance<\/strong>: During the three-week residency, we as musicians and performers want to come together and jointly search for social and performative practices that express democratic, participatory and resilient resistance to the increasing disregard of democratic interests. In a world in which the term \u201cresistance\/struggle\u201d is often highly polarized and often leads to more separation than to connection and understanding, we want to use playfight, a consensual and non-violent fighting practice, and live music to demonstrate the potential of open, playful and low-hierarchy negotiation. <\/p>\n\n

Through playful and score-based working methods, we concentrate on the soft skills of a democracy in order to reflect on current political power struggles and their mechanisms. Against the background of currently conducted linguistic debates, the all too physically painful and undiplomatic struggles, we ask ourselves the question: How can democratic values be negotiated physically and non-violently in order to have a retroactive positive influence on language? <\/p>\n\n
