It was initiated by ZAIK (Center for Exchange and Innovation Cologne 2014 &#8211; 2019) under the direction of Michael Maurissens and Douglas Bateman. In 2020, the dance artist <strong>Silvia Ehnis Perez Duarte<\/strong>, artistic co-director of <a href=\"https:\/\/tacho-tinta.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">TachoTinta<\/a>, took over the curation of the residency program, developed the current concept of TANZRESIDENZ, and continues to lead the program today.  <\/p>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-rank-math-toc-block has-background-background-color has-background has-medium-font-size\" style=\"margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0;padding-top:0;padding-bottom:0\" id=\"rank-math-toc\"><h2>Contents<\/h2><nav><ul><li class=\"\"><a href=\"#auswahlprozess-bewerbung\">SELECTION PROCESS &amp; APPLICATION<\/a><\/li><li class=\"\"><a href=\"#residenzkunstler-innen\">RESIDENT ARTISTS<\/a><\/li><li class=\"\"><a href=\"#extended-trailer\">toolbox.tanz<\/a><\/li><\/ul><\/nav><\/div>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The TANZRESIDENZ is a place for nuances and offers a fluid but trustworthy space where dance artists at various stages of their artistic biography can take risks and explore their own path to artistic excellence. The program is primarily aimed at dance professionals from Cologne and NRW. Through our cooperation partners, it also invites dance professionals from abroad and is open to interdisciplinary proposals in which the body, movement, and choreographic perspective play a significant role.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The residencies include a <strong>subsidized rehearsal space for two to eight weeks<\/strong> as well as the possibility for <strong>exchange formats, previews, and showings<\/strong> to network with other artists and build their own audience. Silvia Ehnis Perez Duarte made the selection together with Black Pearl de Almedia for the residencies in the first half of the year and with Tchekpo Dan Agbetou for the second half of the year.
