Monika Heimann & Michael Schütz

…have been producing “Umständliche Kunst” together since 2009. In this new art genre, psychological research results are transferred in a multi-stage design process into epistemic works of art that show what cannot be said. In addition, they pursue transdisciplinary design and innovation development based on artistic-psychological research and are active as authors of reference books, Monika Heimann also works as an object artist, painter and cartoonist.

Monika Heimann born 1966 in Hohenlimburg / 1985 study of free art at the Academy of Art Münster (Prof. Günter Keusen) / 1988 study of free art at the Academy of Art Düsseldorf (Prof. Fritz Schwegler) / 1992 appointment as master student of Prof. Schwegler / art director (advertising, film production), workshop moderation and psychological research

Michael Schütz born 1967 in Brühl / 1987 studied psychology in Cologne (Prof. Wilhelm Salber) / 1995 graduate psychologist / main focus: psychology of art and design / teaching at several universities / artistic work
