Roland Schappert arbeitet als Bildender Künstler, Autor und Musiker. Er entwickelt eine spezifische Bildwerdung der Schrift mit Leinwandbildern, Zeichnungen, Wandmalereien, digitalen und analogen Drucktechniken und schreibt u. a. Essays zum zeitgenössischen Kunstbegriff. Zuletzt erschien 2021 Coronasehnsucht, DCV Contemporary, Berlin und im selben Verlag 2022 AKTUALITÄTSJETZT, 14 Dialoge mit Wolfgang Ullrich über Schriftbilder von Roland Schappert sowie im Salon Verlag & Edition das Künstlerbuch WAITING FOR NOTHING. Auf r-ecords.com erschienen 2022 die LP ROUTE 1 und die Doppel-LP ROUTE 2, Vertrieb a-musik.com.
